...After completing his military service, he returned to work in the Zhostovo factory. While employed at the factory, he was part of a group of highly skilled artists who created original works which served as exemplars. These exemplars were then copied by other artists.
The influence of the Zhostovo style is very pronounced in Oleg's works, particularly with regard to the subject matter he chooses for his lacquer miniatures...
